Everything we've sketched for Bubble on the Beach, gathered into one place: the look, the feel, the plan, and a small gift left on the pillow. Taken one quiet step at a time, with nothing changed without your yes.

A short letter

Dear Mike,

Since we spoke, I haven't been able to put your place down.

So I went away and sketched, not a pitch, but the world I think Bubble on the Beach already is, drawn out so the rest of us can finally see it. The arches you draw, the Atlantic in front of you, Conrad and the herd, the cool morning before the world wakes. This document gathers all of it into one place: how it could look, how we'd work, what the first step costs, and a small gift I'd love every guest to find on their last evening.

Nothing here is fixed. It's a draft for a conversation, yours and Juliana's to push back on, line by line. Your name stays in your hands, and nothing goes public without your yes. That promise hasn't changed and won't.

Read it slowly. There's no rush in a place where time stands still.

Field notes from our call

What we heard you say.

On the place

A small, niche sanctuary, chosen for its quiet, not its size. Growth should mean better guests, never more of them.

On staying human

Steer away from AI and automation. Keep the personal touch, the digital detox, the closeness to nature and the animals.

On the brand

The split between "Dar Danse" and "Bubble on the Beach" is costing you guests, and it was never yours to make.

On bookings

Most guests come by word of mouth and return visits. The direct booking engine isn't connected, and reservations are slipping away because of it.

On the seasons

Strong in spring and October, but summer is misread as too hot, when you're some 12°C cooler than Marrakesh.

On the future

The best guests are wellness retreats and weddings. As you and Juliana run the place, you want it calmer, finer, and easier.

The world we'd be telling

It isn't a hotel. It's a place that quietly takes the weight off people.

Before any logo or website, this is the soul everything else has to carry: the Atlantic light, the animals who are family, a house that runs on sun and a well, and a welcome no algorithm will ever fake. Four threads, woven through everything we make.

The animals

Conrad the camel and the rescued herd of FLOS aren't a footnote; they're the heart. Ten percent of every booking already finds its way to them. Most places greenwash; you simply do the thing, and have for years.

Off the grid, by choice

Solar power, a private well, no mains tether. The sustainability story isn't a badge to chase; it's how the lights already come on each morning. We make it visible, and credible, without ever making it preachy.

The coast itself

A deserted Atlantic beach, an infinity pool at the edge of it, and the blue feluccas of Essaouira just down the shore. This is Morocco's quiet, wind-and-rhythm coast, where the sea is cool when the interior bakes.

The human welcome

Juliana at the door, the kitchen full of cumin and charred wood, a hammam, a sprung-floor dance studio with real ballet heritage. The thing the whole industry is automating away? You've kept it, on purpose.

How we'll work

Five promises before any work begins.

  • Nothing ships without your yes.

    Every name, word, and image comes back to you and Juliana for approval before it goes anywhere near the public. You are always in control of your own brand.

  • Made by hand, not by machine.

    The work should feel like the place: warm, human, a little imperfect. No automated service, no AI gloss where a person's touch belongs.

  • One step at a time.

    You only ever commit to the step in front of you. Each step proves its worth before the next begins. No long contracts, no leaps of faith.

  • We make Juliana's job easier.

    The aim is to lighten the marketing load, not add to it: simple tools she can run herself, with us alongside, never over her shoulder.

  • Quality of guest over quantity.

    Everything we build should quietly attract the right people, and gently let the wrong ones drift elsewhere.

  • A full stills library of the place: rooms, food, the coast, the sunsets, the animals, shot in your two daily windows of light.
  • A portion shot on real 35mm film, for the actual grain, the warmth, the odd happy imperfection. The most human, least synthetic way to photograph a place, and impossible to fake.
  • A short brand film, no dialogue, that feels like a morning here before the world wakes.
  • One graded palette across everything, so it all feels of a piece.

Kept deliberately lean

Step 1 is a technical step: it fixes what's broken and touches nothing else. Out-of-pocket costs are close to nil, and anything that does come up is billed at exactly what it costs, no markup, with receipts, flagged before we spend it. The nicer expenses (font licences, print prototypes) wait for Step 3, where they belong.

And one honest caveat: we'll first confirm you fully own your domain and brand assets. If access needs untangling, we'll handle it together.

Quietly worth knowing: reconnecting direct bookings tends to claw back commission you're currently handing to third-party sites, often enough that Step 1 pays for itself within a few months. We don't lead with that. We just think you should have it in mind.

Design fundamentals · the look & feel

A hand-pressed travel journal, drawn from your own coast.

Everything is built outward from the illustrations you already love (arches, domes, the shoreline) and printed as if by hand in two inks: the maroon of your own mark and the teal of the ocean in front of you. Warm, tactile, a little hand-written. Unmistakably yours, and impossible for a faceless resort to copy.

A small new idea to talk over: Essaouira's blue. Mogador Blue is the colour of the harbour's wooden feluccas, born from three thousand years of murex dye on this exact coast. We'd keep teal as your sea, and reserve this deeper blue as a rare accent, for the boats, the harbour motif, and the heritage notes. An addition to discuss, never a change we'd make on our own.

The last thing a guest finds here.

On the final evening of every stay, something small waits on the pillow: a hand-pressed letter, with a little keepsake beside it. No screen, no QR code, no "scan to review." Just the most human goodbye we could think of. The exact opposite of the automated world your guests came here to escape.

Dear guest,

You arrived carrying something: the weight most people carry without noticing it. By now, we hope some of it has slipped away. Probably between the second morning and the third sunset. That's usually when it happens here.

The tide you heard last night will be back. The animals will still be here. The plaster will still hold the cool of the night, the kitchen will still smell of cumin and charred wood.

What you found at Bhaibeh Beach doesn't go anywhere. Neither do you, quite, after you've been here.

Come back whenever the world gets too loud.

FLOS

a stamped clay or brass disc: sun & arch on the front, Conrad on the back.

  • The letter: two-ink, on Moroccan handmade paper (kâghaḍ beldi). Maroon & teal. Reverse carries "Step off the world."
  • Keepsake, one idea: the token. ~40mm, hand-stamped clay (or brass), with the arch, the waves, the saffron sun, and Conrad.
  • Keepsake, another idea: a small local spice mix. A house blend from the Essaouira souk, tied into the same envelope, so guests carry the kitchen's scent home. Every dinner they cook with it is a small return visit.
  • The wrap: a kraft envelope, twine tie, and a wax seal pressed with the arch, opened by hand, not torn.

Which keepsake? Honestly, your call, and Juliana's. You two know that pillow better than we ever will.

Cost to you, all in: roughly €1.40–2.00 a guest, whichever keepsake you choose (a touch more in brass). The artwork is ours to make, once, inside Step 3. A small thing that guests photograph, keep, and remember you by.

Everything we make (brand, images, film, site) belongs to you, handed over in full. (We'll also check you fully own what exists today.)
